Terms of Service
Last updated: September 13, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Bonjour (the "Service"), a French-language learning platform for TEF Canada and TCF Canada exam preparation. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who can use Bonjour
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm the information you provide (name, email) is accurate.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed via Stripe on the cadence shown at checkout (monthly, annual, or a one-time pass).
- You can switch plans yourself from your account at any time; upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately with fair proration.
- To cancel a subscription outright, contact support — we don't currently offer self-serve cancellation, but we process cancellation requests promptly and you keep access through the end of your paid period.
- If your card is declined at renewal, we retry automatically and you keep access while retries are in progress; we'll email you to update your payment method, and only suspend access if retries are ultimately unsuccessful.
- Fees are generally non-refundable, but we may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion — for example, a billing error, a duplicate charge, or within a short window of an accidental purchase. Contact support to request one.
4. AI-generated content
Practice exercises, feedback, and Mock Exam Writing/Speaking scores are generated or graded by AI (Google Gemini). AI grading is a study aid, not an official result — only your official TEF/TCF test centre can issue a score accepted for immigration, education, or employment purposes. AI feedback may occasionally be inaccurate; use your judgment and report anything that looks wrong.
5. Certificates
Certificates issued by Bonjour mark your progress through our course. They are not official language certifications and do not replace a TEF, TCF, DELF, or DALF result.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share your account or resell access to the Service.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our question banks or AI prompts at scale.
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or send unsolicited content to other learners (including in Community/Q&A features).
- Attempt to circumvent plan restrictions, rate limits, or payment.
7. Community content
Questions, replies, and community posts you submit are visible to other learners and/or our instructors as described in the product. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or anything abusive, illegal, or that identifies another person without consent. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this.
8. Intellectual property
Bonjour's curriculum, question banks, software, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own learning — not to redistribute or republish our content.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee any specific exam outcome, immigration result, or CLB score — Bonjour is a study tool, not a guarantee of success on the official TEF/TCF exam.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bonjour isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including exam results or immigration outcomes.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date above when we do; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the update.
